Because everyone’s hearing is different, with Audéo PFE in-ear earphones you can choose the audio filter that suits you best. The filters also protect the sound tube from dirt, and this can extend the life of your headphones.

Technical information

Wearing in-ear earphones such as the Audéo PFE alters the transfer function of the ear canal.

1. The natural resonance of the ear canal is removed.
2. The amplification provided by the external ear is removed.

The headphones must compensate for this to enable you to hear sound as if it were natural. Because everyone’s hearing is different, the compensation process varies from person to person, but standard headphones are unable to do this.
