No doubt about it, Karen Souza is one of the great new voices of today’s jazz. After the unexpected success of her fantastic debut album: Essentials, Karen partnered with American producer Joel McNeely for her sophomore project. McNeely is famous for his work with legendary artists such as Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Al Green and Jaco Pastorious, and has provided the album with original and subtle arrangements that you rarely hear nowadays. Karen’s personal vocals floats between clouds of vintage-sounding strings and horns.
